They never did like being seperated… though Barry supposed they’d been seperated enough… They held onto eachother, almost as if their lives depended on it. He couldn’t help but watch over them as they drifted off. The two younger boys carefully climbed to one side of the matress, giving Barry enough space for himself. “You guys can sleep here for the night, okay?” He patted a spot on his bed. He then pulled out a fresh set from his closet and quickly placed it over the matress. “Stay there.” He stated, pulling the wet bedsheets off in one swift motion. Barry felt a bit of pity wash over himself. “W-we…had bad dreams… too…” Ryan mumbled, keeping an arm around Matt as he spoke. The two flinched, suddenly becoming more hesitant. “It’s fine… but, why are you two in here.” He asked. Barry brushed some of the water off of his forehead. w-we weren’t sure what else to do…” Ryan added. “Y-you wouldn’t wake up and Y-you kept twisting and turning and talking to yourself…” Matt stammered. “B-Barry?” Barry looked to his side, Matt and Ryan were beside his bed. Not even as it’s gross mangy arm lifting itself and suddenly started to rush back down towards himsel-īarry shot awake, clutching his chest and panting heavily. He twisted and pulled against their grip, staring back up at the creature in fear as he did. Barry continued to squirm against the vines, however this seemed to only encourage them to continue coiling and constricting around the rest of his body. “Your….turn….Orange….Diamond….” It spoke in the most terrifying voice imaginable. The creature moved closer, a sickening grin traveled up its cheeks… “No…no…not again…please…” But Barry’s whimpers fell on deft ears. Barry could feel tears welling up in his eyes. The boy stared at him a blank, emotionless expression was across his face. Barry struggled against the plant, desperately trying to break free. He attempted to pull himself back up, but a vine coiled around his legs and kept him restrained to the ground. The beast raised up one of its sharp apandages. Kevin had too seen the creature, but seemed to be paralyzed in fear. He felt his stomach sink and started to pick up his pace. A taller one, almost monstrous in its appearance. He could see a smile on the boys face, innocent and sweet as always. Barry tried to sprint towards Kevin as best as he could, though it proved difficult with his current injuries. “Kevin!” No doubt in his mind, that was him. Suddenly, a small figure appeared ahead of him, a light teal glow emitted from them. “Barry!” It repeated… Wait… He knew that voice… Barry looked at his surroundings, not seeing anything that could have made the noise. His eyes scouted around him, trying to find anything else in this seemingly empty world. Barry shakily stood up, trying his best to keep balanced as he limped through the clouds. The space around him was shrouded in a deep grey mist, adding to his discomfort. His vision was blurred and clouded, causing him to squint to try and make sense of anything happening around him.Įverything was covered in this unsettling red hue.
His arms felt like twigs that were just about to snap. The sound of ringing played through Barry’s ears as he pushed himself off the ground.
